'I know he will fit in here' Jesse Marsch gives glowing review of new Leeds United signing Brenden Aaronson

Jesse Marsch believes Brenden Aaronson will fit in perfectly at Elland Road after Leeds United unveiled the signing of the 21-year-old from Red Bull Salzburg.

Signing a five-year-deal, the American international has previously worked with Marsch at Salzburg, where the former coached from June 2019 to June 2021.

Leeds targeted Aaronson in January to help strengthen their squad, but were unable to agree upon a deal. He is Leeds' first post-Marcelo Bielsa signing, and can operate on both wings or in behind a striker in a number 10 role.

In his first season in Austria, Aaronson bagged himself five goals and five assists under Marsch in the Austrian Bundesliga, which Salzburg went on to win. The move is believed to have cost Leeds around the £25m.

And Marsch has no worries about Aaronson ability, as Leeds look to strengthen their squad ahead of the 2022/23 Premier League campaign.

"Brenden is an incredibly hard worker and we’re pleased to welcome him to the club," Marsch told Leeds United's official club website.

“He adapts very well to tactical ideas and levels of play and his mentality is to do whatever it takes to help the team succeed.

“I know he will fit in here perfectly with our players and club with this mindset.”
