I just joined Viktoria Plzen, here's why we can beat Rangers in Champions League

New Viktoria Plzen star Tomas Ladra insists they can shock Rangers and fulfil his Champions League dream.

[[Rangers]] entertain the Czech side this week at Ibrox in the first leg of the third qualifying round, with the return at the Doosan Arena.

Viktoria have been hit with a major blow after agreeing to sell star man Pavel Sulc to Lyon for £8 million before the tie, with the Czech international expected to complete his medical in France this weekend.

But Ladra - who joined in the summer from Mlada Boleslav - insists Rangers won't stand in his way of achieving his ambitions.

He said: "We knew before the games that we would play either Rangers or Panathinaikos and we accepted they are of similar quality.

"And we definitely think the tie is a winnable one for us.

"Ever since I was starting out in football, my ambition has been to play in the Champions League proper and this is a big opportunity for me.

"I have quickly discovered since my transfer that the club is at a very high level with the squad we have. There is a lot of quality here.

"We beat Servette and we are now assured of the Europa League at least, so the pressure is off.

"Of course, from now onwards, all the teams we play in Europe will be good teams."
