Andrea Radrizzani has admitted he is looking into the possibility of linking Leeds United up with top European clubs.
The Whites' owner is clearly not resting on his laurels as the club prepare for a first season in the Premier League for 16 years.
Despite embarking on a summer recruitment drive, the United chairman remains ambitious as ever.
And to that end he has spoken for the first time about setting up a network of clubs and adding to investment company Aser’s portfolio, which includes broadcaster Eleven Sports.
Plenty of top flight sides have similar arrangements in place, such as Manchester City, with clubs from all around the world acting as feeder sides for the Citizens.
Speaking on the issue to Associated Press, Radrizzani said: “There are countries where I have a good, really strong relationship in the football industry and where I could make sense to have maybe the ownership of a club and be in synergy with Leeds.
“We are in a phase of ... evaluating opportunity, particularly Italy, Spain and Portugal.
"And I have this vision to have maybe a network of two, three clubs and Leeds on the top of these in Premier League, where the other clubs can create synergy and develop players that can benefit also Leeds.”
Radrizzani is clearly a man not afraid to make contacts across the sporting spectrum as he strives for the best for Leeds.
Back in 2018 he sold 10 per cent of Leeds to the 49ers Enterprises - an affiliate of the San Francisco NFL team.
And in the past he has held talks with the Qatari owners of Paris Saint-Germain about potentially investing.
