Rosa’s life has become something of which no young girl dreams.
Her most intense relationship was a lie; the signing of her marriage documents was a police containment exercise; her children were born into a relationship that was abusive, deceitful and manipulative.
Her life has been ripped from its natural course through no fault of her own. She has been left psychologically hurt with two young children by the most intimate violation of trust by a man she once believed was her life partner, but would later discover was an undercover police officer.
This is the reality of her life. She is one of the victims of the spycops sent in by the Metropolitan Police to infiltrate activist groups in the nineties.
The behaviour of those officers and their transgressions, for which her ex husband has now been fired from the Met for gross misconduct, is now the subject of a public inquiry.
Rosa still has to live her life and raise the two children she had with him at home in Wales.
