'I got it wrong' - Arsenal fans make Mikel Arteta U-turn following impressive display vs Norwich

Mikel Arteta garnered considerable praise after Arsenal defeated Norwich City 5-0 on Boxing Day.

The Gunners went into the must-win Premier League clash sitting fourth in the table, a far cry from their position when they faced the Canaries back in September when they were rooted to the bottom of the table following a torrid start to the campaign.

The north London outfit had won their last four games across all competitions, securing victories against Southampton, West Ham and Leeds United before defeating Sunderland 5-1 in the Carabao Cup quarter-finals in midweek.

Arteta's men continued their winning ways at Carrow Road, with Bukayo Saka breaking the deadlock in the sixth minute before Scotland international Kieran Tierney doubled the away side's advantage before half-time.

Saka then added to his tally after the break as French centre-forward Alexandre Lacazette and Hale End graduate Emile Smith Rowe eventually rounded off the scoring.

Following the victory, a number of Arsenal supporters took to social media to hail their head coach, with fans admitting they have changed their opinion on the Spaniard in recent times. Here is what a select few on Twitter said.

@OzilThings: "Well, I got it wrong about Arteta. Apologies."

@Alexmbeka: "I must give credit to Arteta. The boys have been scoring many goals lately and defending well."

@LocalPolskiMan: "I doubted Arteta at the start of the season, I doubted his signings, but I have been proven wrong, His talent id is crazy good and the teams going forwards with every game."

@GurjitAFC: "19 goals in the last 5 games for Arteta's Arsenal."

@ _Grimanditweets: "Odegaard was imperious today."

@DonRobbieBurner: "Arteta had a plan. He just needed the platform."

@THEREAL69290605: "Martinelli, Saka and Smith Rowe are running the show!"

@asadalimalik1: "Great performance 26 goals+assists between saka smith rowe and odegard. Future is definitely bright."
