‘I got a huge tip’: Woman can’t find boyfriend. Then she uses Uber Eats driver to catch him

A woman shares how she caught her ex-boyfriend cheating on her using a popular food delivery service.

In a video with over 18,000 views, TikToker Abby (@abby.hkk) urges other girlfriends not to “underestimate the tool of Uber Eats.”

She explains that one night, her now ex-boyfriend said he was staying in to “study” instead of going out with their friend group.

“In the nicest way possible, this boy was so dumb. I’ve never even heard him use the word ‘studying,’” she says. When neither his ex nor her boyfriend shows up at the gathering, she knows they must be together.

She devises an “innocent” plan to catch him in the act.

How did she use Uber Eats to catch her boyfriend cheating?

“I can’t just show up to his apartment on the off chance that he hadn’t left yet or gotten home,” she explains. “I couldn’t let him know that I knew something was going on. I had to catch him off guard.”

Abby says she also didn’t want to show up at his ex-girlfriend’s house because she would look “insane.”

Instead, she decides to send her boyfriend some food on Uber Eats to motivate him during his “study session.”

“If he’s there, he’s going to get the food. I’m not going to tell him that I sent it cause it’s a surprise,” she explains. “If it’s been 10 minutes and he doesn’t say anything, I know he is at the ex-girlfriend’s apartment.”

She gets in her friend’s car and drives to the ex-girlfriend’s apartment anyway, hoping to catch him after the Uber Eats order arrives at his apartment. However, she sees something shocking when she arrives.

“I see his car. He didn’t even try to hide it,” she says. “He couldn’t even Uber there.”

She says she calls him and asks if he got the Uber Eats she sent him. He says he “stepped out of the house.”

“I go, ‘That’s crazy. Because your car is right here in front of me at your ex-girlfriend’s apartment,’” she says. “And the rest is history.”

Have other delivery drivers helped catch cheaters?

In the comments, viewers report using similar methods to catch their significant others cheating.

“Omg similar story – we were long distance but I actually ordered an Uber for a short distance and then called the driver and offered to tip him to lmk if her car was there or not,” a commenter writes.

“Girlll!! That’s how I found out my ex cheated on me!! Uber Eats!! And he FEED! That girl!!” another says.

“Me too!! But on Uber,” a third adds.

Another delivery driver also says they’ve gladly helped customers execute their plans.

“As a DD driver, I’ve had a customer order food to her long-distance bf’s place and ask if his ex’s BMW was there. It was. I got a huge tip, and she gifted me the Cane’s. A win is a win,” one says.
