The OnePlus 13 only just launched in January of this year, but we've already been spending time with the OnePlus 15, the oddly numbered follow-up to our highest-rated Android phone of all time.
OnePlus launched the OnePlus 15 in China in late October, and unlike the previous phone, the global launch is happening just two weeks after that, on November 13. That said, OnePlus states that U.S. availability will be slightly delayed due to the government shutdown's impact on U.S. FCC approvals, but here's hoping for a quick resolution to this issue.
Until then, we've been able to unbox the global OnePlus 15 model and can bring you some early impressions, a closer look at the hardware, and a glimpse at the OxygenOS 16 software that powers it.
OnePlus 15 specs, price, and release date

OnePlus officially announced that the OnePlus 15 will be arriving globally on November 13, but the company hasn't officially released the global price points just yet. The phone launched in China for CNY 3,999 (~$562 USD), but we don't expect it to be that inexpensive globally. More than likely, it'll retail for about the same price as the OnePlus 13, which debuted at US$899 / CAD$1249 / ₹69,999 / £899.
OnePlus is offering preorder bonuses, including $50 off a OnePlus 15 and a chance to win a OnePlus Pad 3 at OnePlus.com. We also expect the OnePlus 15 to be available at Amazon and Best Buy, just as the OnePlus 13 was.
Although OnePlus hasn't officially released the full specs of the global model, we can refer to the Chinese model for guidance.

What's in the OnePlus 15 box

OnePlus has long delivered quite a bit of value in the box compared to companies like Apple, Samsung, Google, and others, and the OnePlus 15 is no exception. Aside from the usual gear (phone, manuals, SIM tool, and charging cable), OnePlus also supplies an ultra-fast charger, so you can get the most out of the charging experience.
That charger supports 80W maximum charging in the U.S., while the rest of the world gets to enjoy 120W charging with the same brick. These differences are down to 110v vs 220v wall power. The OnePlus 15 also comes with a preinstalled film-type screen protector on the front glass, so you don't have to buy one right away.
OnePlus 15 hardware and design

Unlike the OnePlus 13, the OnePlus 15 features entirely flat surfaces all around the phone. The front and back glass no longer have any curve at all, which should make it easy to find a good tempered glass OnePlus 15 screen protector.
The shiny metal sides of the OnePlus 13 have been completely flattened and transformed, making it look and feel an awful lot like an iPhone 17. OnePlus rounds off the top and bottom edges more than Samsung, thankfully, but a phone with sides this flat is going to cause some division among owners.
Thankfully, the surface features a unique ceramic-like feel that's created by "immersing the aluminum frame in a special electrolyte solution and applying high voltage." This transforms the normally smooth aluminum into an impressively textured metal that feels almost identical to ceramic, complete with natural fingerprint-resistance.

The back glass of my Sand Storm model is also nicely frosted and shows no signs of fingerprints even after days of usage. In fact, the look and texture feel a lot like paper, giving this phone an oddly natural feel considering how unnatural the straight edges are.
The rounded camera module from days of yore is now a rounded square, bumped up a bit higher into the top-left corner, just like on the OnePlus 13S. While this looks incredibly generic in images, it comes off as genuinely beautiful in person. I was pleasantly surprised, given how much I disliked the design in early leaks.

Once again, OnePlus has decided that its trademark alert slider is no longer viable and has replaced it with a "Plus Key." This is a better decision than leaving it out altogether, as the company did on the OnePlus 10T, and the Plus Key can be customized to toggle between ring, vibrate, and silent modes if you want.
OnePlus offers nine different functions for this key, including an option to disable it entirely. By default, this key is used to save screenshots and other info to Mind Space, a riff on Nothing's Essential Space that uses AI to automatically sort and categorize information for easy searching.
I previously used Plus Mind on my OnePlus 13 as part of the OxygenOS 16 rollout and genuinely enjoy using this AI feature. It's an awful lot like an upgraded version of Pixel Screenshots with a physical hardware key to get more use out of it.
OnePlus 15 review coming soon

That's all we can share about the OnePlus 15 experience so far, but rest assured that a full review is arriving in the coming days. In the meantime, check out samples I've taken from the new camera system and read up on the company's promise that this will be the best gaming flagship phone of 2025.
A lot of phone
The OnePlus 15 is almost here, but it's shaping up to be an impressive phone. It features a massive battery, fast charging, and is powered by the latest Qualcomm chipset, meaning this may be the best phone to come out of 2025.
