If you're lucky enough to rent or own a property with a designated parking spot, you'll know how precious it is. Parking can cause some serious rifts between neighbours, and it can often cause relationship breakdowns between you if you don't deal with a situation in a sensible way.
One man was left miffed when he came back to the car park one night at around midnight and saw somebody parked in his spot - and he was left with a dilemma.
He either had to tackle the issue head-on, or park elsewhere, and potentially get a parking fine in the process.

After some thought, he decided that he would speak to reception - but the man in his space didn't take kindly to it.
He took to Reddit's 'Am I the A**hole' forum to question whether he'd done anything wrong.
"At the time I was convinced this guy was 1000% a douchebag, but the more I think about it, I'm wondering if I'm partially in the wrong", he wrote.
"Our apartment building has six stories for parking. I have an assigned spot on the first floor which makes it very easy to get in/out of the garage.
"I come back one night around midnight and see somebody parked in my spot. I don't want to park in somebody else's spot and move my car the next day, because then I could end up being towed for being in the wrong spot.
"I go to the front desk who calls the person up - apparently it was their first day or two moving in and they weren't aware there were assigned parking spots.

"As far as I'm aware, all spots are assigned, so that seemed bizarre. However, I do not believe anybody is assigned to the sixth floor as there are only contractor vehicles occasionally up there."
The man then spoke to the person who had parked in his space to ask whether he could "just move it tomorrow", but he was put out by this as he wanted somewhere to park.
He continued: "It takes five minutes or so to drive up the parking garage and another five to drive down, plus it's just kinda annoying...
"Additionally, I wasn't sure if I was even technically allowed to park on the sixth floor. So I declined and asked him to come and move his car. He said he had work tomorrow and this was a pain in the a** and again asked me to let it be for the night. I stood my ground.
"When he came to move his car I was waiting there, he flipped me off and said something along the lines of 'bad karma buddy'. Should I have just parked upstairs and let him fix it the next morning?"
In the comments, people said that it was the other person's mistake, so he couldn't be blamed.
One wrote: "He was the one inconveniencing people, not you. Why should you have to go all the way up to the sixth floor because of his mistake?"
Someone fumed: "My response 100% would have been something along the lines of 'either you can move it tonight or I'll have it towed'."
"Let me park in your spot or it's bad karma? Weak", a Redditor raged.
