'I feel terrible!' - Tottenham fans agree on midfielder after Nuno Espirito Santo decision

Some Tottenham supporters have called for Dele Alli to be dropped for next weekend's home clash with Aston Villa after his performance against Arsenal.

The 25-year-old midfielder started for Spurs at the Emirates Stadium, but was dragged off by Nuno Espirito Santo at half-time, with the visitors 3-0 down.

Oliver Skipp, who many Tottenham supporters wanted to start against their fierce rivals, came on for Alli and his inclusion sparked a marginally better performance for Spurs in the second period.

A section of Tottenham fans, when taking to Twitter after and during the game, have called for Nuno to drop Alli for next weekend's clash with Villa.

Speaking after the game, Tottenham boss Nuno was understandably unhappy with what he saw from his side in such a big match, and took the responsibility for some bad decisions.

"A lot of things went wrong , starting with decisions that I made," the Spurs manager said.

"It’s not easy to expand, so I just ask for a bit of respect if I don't go too much into it.

"The game plan didn’t work out. I’m very honest. If the game plan didn’t work out the way you wanted it to work out, its because you didn’t decide it well.

"Because I decided bad. I decided bad. Didn’t make the right decisions.

"And I refuse to go much further than that. It’s my responsibility. All I have to say, I’ll say it to the players among us. Because us [we] must solve the problem."

Next up for Tottenham is a home match with NS Mura in the Europa Conference League on Thursday evening, before Villa come to north London at the weekend.
