'I feel dangerously angry ... but I'm OK'

They are a 'Message to Australia' — the words of those who gave their stories as part of the Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse.

More than 1,000 contributions were received and published in a book that was handed over to the National Library of Australia on the final sitting of the commission today.

We've selected just a fraction of them below.

And just a warning, some of the messages may be confronting.

Many were thankful for the royal commission's work...

...but it was clear others still carried their pain...

And others looked to the future
