‘I feel comfortable’: Hakim Ziyech hails growing understanding with Chelsea teammates

Hakim Ziyech was the star of the show for Chelsea in their 4-1 win over Sheffield United and says he is developing a good understanding with his new team-mates.

The Moroccan international missed the early weeks through injury, but has since earned a place in the team with his creative displays - culminating in a pair of assists against the Blades.

Despite the Blues falling behind early on, they always looked the more dangerous and capable side and could realistically have added even more to the scoreline.

Ziyech feels Chelsea responded well to conceding first, and says his own game is improving thanks to a developing relationship on the pitch.

“We played a good game, the first 10 minutes was a little bit difficult [and] we started sloppy but after, we controlled the game. We played well again,” he told Sky Sports.

"They like when you play the ball into feet. I saw [Mateo] Kovacic running in the space [for the first goal] and sometimes you have to give those balls and they [the defence] don’t know what to do.

"I always look at the [runs] before i take [set-pieces]. Sometimes all you need is eye contact.

“I feel comfortable in the team, with the squad and with the team mates.”

Ziyech has three assists and two goals for the season so far, having joined from Ajax in the summer.

Chelsea moved into third with the win and are on a four-game win streak across all competitions heading into the international break.
