'I f****** love her': Yungblud jumps to Taylor Swift's defence

Yungblud revealed himself to be a massive Swiftie while defending the star's music

Yungblud has defended Taylor Swift after Bill Maher said he'll never like her music.

The 28-year-old rocker has revealed himself to be a massive Swiftie, and following the release of arguably the 35-year-old pop megastar's most divisive album, The Life of a Showgirl, the host discussed the appeal of Taylor and how not everyone has to like her, prompting Yungblud to jump to her defence.

Appearing on Maher's Club Random podcast, Yungblud declared: "I f****** love Taylor Swift."

Maher said: "I just saw her doing the Travis Kelce podcast [New Heights], and I just thought, everything I don't know about her, I like her better.

"She seemed genuine, funny, cool to hang out with — which I never thought she wasn't — I just don't get the music, and I never will."

Sharing his personal connection to her music, Yungblud said: "That first album and Red, my sisters loved that. So anytime that comes on, it takes me back to a time when I was in my mum's car with my sisters, and I actually f****** love it."

Interrupting Maher before he could get his words out, Yungblud said: "Can I tell you one thing? Lads in the pub are like, 'Taylor Swift, I don't f*** with it.' I like f****** Taylor Swift."

Maher replied: "Good, I am glad. I'm happy."

He added: "Not everybody has to like everything. The silliest thing people do is when they go, 'Listen to this, you'll love it.' Maybe I won't. And if I don't, don't argue with me."
