'I expect my family to spend hundreds on me for Mother's Day – I completely deserve it'

Mother's Day is an annual celebration of mothers and mother figures all around the world.

It's usually a day that involes showing love, gratitude and appreciation for all the mums who work tirelessly day in, day out. For some this means simply giving their mum a call to check in on them, while others go all out in terms of cards, flowers and gifts.

One mum-of-two has come to expect a lot of effort from her whole family, including her husband, on Mother's Day.

Esha Seth, from Stockport, Greater Manchester, expects the five star treatment when it comes to Mother's Day – including presents worth hundreds of pounds.

The 40-year-old has come to expect pricey presents because of how challenging it is to be a mum the rest of the year.

She told The Sun: "You don't often get time to yourself as a mum, certainly not a whole day anyway."

Esha works full time as a primary school teacher, and when she comes home it's "non-stop" until bedtime at 9pm, which is the firs time she gets time to herself.

Her husband, Vishal, 41, is supportive, but her kids are "demanding" – even at weekends when they have clubs, parties and chores to do.

She added to the publication: "I'm forever on my feet. My birthday and Mother's Day are the two days in the year that I get off and be treated rather than thinking of others and I do expect to be treated."

Speaking of last year's Mother Day, Esha explained that her husband took her for a surprise weekend away, including spa, nice meals out and a shopping trip.

He also paid to get her nails done, as well as a designer perfume.

Her children, Cherisa, 11, and son Girik, 6, also bought her gifts and "filled the room with balloons".

Recalling her 40th birthday, she explaine dhow her daughter had taken out "all the money from her piggy bank" and given her £200 cash, which she put towards a shopping trip.

This Mother's Day Esha is expecting to be suprised again, starting with a lie-in and breakfast in bed. For the rest of the day the mum is hoping for a spa day, afternoon tea, going to the cinema and a nice meal – and presents on top.

She added: "I expect I will get some gin or designer perfume from my hubby and my daughter will probably invest in some fancy makeup for me while my son will probably make me something nice."
