I enjoyed every second on the court: Aryna Sabalenka

NEW YORK: Aryna Sabalenka was at the receiving end of the worst of the Arthur Ashe crowd in her semifinal against Leylah Fernandez.

The world No.2's double faults, which in the first set tie-break, gave her opponent set point, was cheered noisily. The Belarusian had eight of them in all in the match, three of which came in the deciding set.

"It was an amazing atmosphere," Sabalenka said of the last-four clash. "I expected that they will support her more than me. But it was really loud. Few times I was trying to ask them for support."

"Anyway was a great atmosphere," she said, exhaling. "I was really happy to be there. I enjoyed every second on the court."
