'I don't work for you': Alex Beresford storms off Good Morning Britain after Piers Morgan dispute

Good Morning Britain viewers were puzzled by an awkward dispute between Piers Morgan and Alex Beresford.

The pair seemingly had a showdown on air after host Piers brought up speculation the weatherman doesn't like him.

Things appeared to get frosty as Piers read a tweet from one viewer who said it was obvious they did not get on, reports Mirror Online.

While it appears to be good fun between colleagues, viewers have been left wondering whether there's actually an an ongoing feud or not.

One fan commented: “What the heck is going on between Alex and Piers?!?! What have I missed?”

The moment came just an hour after the GMB Twitter account joked Alex had “had enough” as he appeared to storm off live on-air.

At one point Piers asked Alex for a weather report, to which he responded: “I don’t work for you,” leaving him resorting to Google instead.

On the show thisy morning (June 24), Susanna claimed the atmosphere got “colder and colder” when the two were in the same room.

Piers said of Alex: “He’s just a bit of a drama queen, the massive walkout earlier.”

As he replied: “Are you still going on?” with a seriously straight face, Piers had one question for him.

'What the heck is going on?'

Piers wanted to know the weather report for the cricket the following day, leading to Alex refusing to tell him, with Piers joking he was going to have him replaced as Susanna addressed their “personal issues” against each other.

Fans were left asking if they were really feuding, with one fan commenting: “What the heck is going on between Alex and Piers?!?! What have I missed?”

Another said: “Piers and Alex squaring up to each other there for a moment. My money's on Alex! Piers does treat him with complete disdain sometimes. Good to see him hitting back for once.”

A third tweeted: “Weather may be warm. Chilly reception from Alex.”

Good Morning Britain airs weekdays at 6am on ITV.
