Trump mocks Biden for fist-bumping Saudi crown prince: ‘I don’t care where that hand has been’

Donald Trump shook hands with Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman during a meeting in the Oval Office, before criticizing Joe Biden for fist-bumping the crown prince in 2022.

After the crown prince, also known by his initials MBS, said that the US president was “on another league” compared to other former presidents, the pair shook hands before Mr Trump said: “I don’t give a fist bump…I don’t care where that hand’s been.”

During a trip to Jeddah, then-president Biden fist-bumped the crown prince. Four weeks earlier, Mr Biden had said he wouldn't meet the Saudi leader on his visit.

Mr Biden’s trip came after the CIA determined that Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi had been abducted and murdered by Saudi agents acting on the crown prince’s orders in 2018.

MBS has denied the allegations and in Tuesday’s meeting (18 November), Mr Trump said the crown prince had “nothing to do with it”.
