Ole Gunnar Solskjaer dismissed questions about his future as Manchester United's season hit a new low in Turkey.
United lost for the second game running and conceded a humiliating opener – which Solskjaer described as “unforgivable” - as the pressure on him increased.
Former United skipper Roy Keane said Solskjaer's players will ultimately get him the sack, but the Norwegian remained tight-lipped when asked if he feared for his job.
“I decline to comment on such a thing,” said Solskjaer.
“Of course it's early on, and opinions are out there all the time and you've got to stay strong.
“I'm employed by the club to do a job and I do that to the best of my ability with our staff.”
Solskajer's side suffered their first Champions League defeat of the season, largely down to appalling defending, never more so than for the 12th-minute opener, which came from a United corner.
Demba Ba was in his own half, but was allowed to run on to the ball and slot it past Dean Henderson in the United goal, with Solskjaer's players guilty of amateur defending.
Edin Visca added a second after a mistake from Juan Mata, and although Anthony Martial pulled one back before the break, United never looked like getting anything from the game.
Solskjaer said: “The performance wasn’t good enough.
“The first goal, we played a short corner and forgot about the man up top - that's unforgivable.
“The second one, we weren't very well organised to counter press and win the ball back when we were defending.
“It has set us back a lot, of course it has. You get a reality check every time you play a football game. You don’t just turn up and get three points in the Champions League.
“It’s not easy to be positive when we’ve lost the way we did. But we have a chance to get going again on Saturday.”
