'I'd take him for £40m!' - Spurs fans react to Leicester's move for Youri Tielemans

Another day of the summer transfer window is nearing its end and another huge deal has been completed.

Leicester City have completed the signing of Youri Tielemans from Monaco.

The central midfielder spent the second of last season on loan with the Foxes, establishing himself as one of the league's biggest talents.

Brendan Rodgers' side were always keen to bring the 22-year-old in on a permanent deal, but were rumoured to face stiff competition from the likes of Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur.

United's interest was perhaps dependant on Paul Pogba's future, while it seems that Spurs opted to sign Tanguy Ndombele instead.

Ndombele's move cost the north London side around £65million - a more expensive deal than that which Tielemans has agreed with Leicester.

Of course Spurs will be happy with the business that they've done, but several Tottenham fans took to social media to express their disappointment that they never snapped up the former Monaco man when they had the chance.
