Gabriel Agbonlahor has told Arsenal to "stay away" from the option to sign wantaway Manchester United striker Anthony Martial, comparing him to Nicolas Pepe.
The Frenchman's agent last week opened up about his future at Old Trafford, revealing that he wants a move away from the Reds.
It comes after he has managed just two Premier League starts and one goal this season after falling down the pecking order at United, given the emergence of Mason Greenwood and Marcus Rashford plus the additions of Edinson Cavani, Cristiano Ronaldo and Jadon Sancho.
He still has two years remaining on his deal in the North West which could mean that the transfer valuation may prove to be a stumbling block in negotiations.
Mikel Arteta's side are currently embroiled in a striker crisis of their own as Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang continues his spell out of the side after breaching disciplinary rules at the Emirates Stadium.
And Agbonlahor has warned should the Gunners make a move for the 26-year-old, they could have a similar problem to what they're facing with Nicolas Pepe - who has struggled for form since his move from Nice.
“There’s something about Martial that I don’t really like,” Agbonlahor told Football Insider.
“He turns up for one game but then misses three games.
“You could have another Pepe on your hands, I’d stay away from that if I was Arsenal.
“He’d probably be sulking if he went to Arsenal after being at Man United. I just don’t see that one happening.”
