Dillian Whyte’s heavyweight protege Alen Babic has vowed to “quit boxing” if he loses his heavyweight fight against Shawndell Winters tonight.
The Croatian is looking to stay undefeated as a professional and move to 4-0.
The fight props up Whyte against Alexander Povetkin on the undercard of Fight Club 4.
And Babic is adamant he cannot afford to slip up or his career will be over.
“If I lost to Shawndell Winters, I’d quit boxing,” Babic claimed.
“I’m in the best shape. He’s just a stepping stone for me. I’m going to knock him out. I’m never going to lose to him. Never.”
Babic also maintains the fight will not go the scheduled eight rounds.
“No, no way. If I need to go (eight rounds), I sparred with Dillian. Last day, I did eight rounds. Most of the work I did eight rounds with Dillian,” he added.
“So it’s okay for me, I can go. But there is no way because he has a 90% knockout ratio, I have 100%.”
