'I’d like to experience England' - Boulaye Dia's answer when asked about Premier League aspirations

Reims' Boulaye Dia has aspirations of Premier League football but knows a move too soon to England can result in players 'getting lost.'

The striker - who tops the Ligue 1 scoring charts so far this season - has confirmed a bid from Brighton during the summer and is now on Newcastle United's radar told Get Football News French that he knows a move to the Premier League should only come when players 'are ready'.

"Yes, there is a little truth to the Brighton story but an agreement couldn’t be reached between the clubs," he said.

"There were discussions but it didn’t go any further. I’d like to experience England and the Premier League – all players dream of playing in the Premier League one day, and I’m one of those players.

"But there’s no point making the move just for the experience of it. You need to move when you’re ready, when you’ve proven yourself when you show consistency. You need to take your time and not move to England too quickly, otherwise, you’ll quickly get lost."

Steve Bruce was spotted taking in Peterborough's game at Crewe over the weekend and was thought to be casting an eye over another winger/striker Siriki Dembele.

It is thought United are in the market another striker with an over-reliance on summer signing Callum Wilson.
