When it comes to stress, we all react to it in different ways - some people ignore the problem in hopes it will go away, while others may tackle it head-on and then enjoy a much-needed glass of wine.
And then there are those who might do something a bit more unexpected - if a recent Reddit post is to be believed.
An anonymous person took to the social media platform's r/Confessions forum to share their rather surprising method for relieving stress.
They claimed that roughly once a week, they like to creep around their house and act like a goblin.
The viral post, which has garnered more than 3,000 upvotes and hundreds of comments, reads: "I like to creep around my home and act like a goblin. I don’t know why but I just enjoy doing this.

"Maybe it’s my way of dealing with stress or something but I just do it about once every week.
"Generally I’ll carry around a sack and creep around in a sort of crouch-walking position making goblin noises, then I’ll walk around my house and pick up various different 'trinkets' and put them in my bag while saying stuff like 'I’ll be having that' and laughing maniacally in my goblin voice."
The person goes on to admit that they had started to become nervous about their neighbours discovering their secret pastime.
They added: "The other day I was talking with my neighbours and they mentioned hearing weird noises like what I wrote about and I was just internally screaming the entire conversation.
"I’m 99% sure they don’t know it’s me but god that 1% chance is seriously weighing on my mind."
Reddit users were fascinated by the admission, with some loving how much joy the activity clearly gave the poster and encouraging them not to worry about their neighbours.
One person said: "This story is the best Christmas present I've had today. 'I'll be having that' [laughs maniacally]. Now my cats have come in to see why I am laughing so hard."
Another replied: "I think this is awesome. This may be one of the best confessions I have ever seen. Don't worry about the neighbours. Do your thing."
A third wrote: "I want to hear the goblin noises. The only way this could be better is if you have a pet that stares at you confused as f**k while you do it. Do you have one? DO YOU?"
Someone else added: "This is so cute please don't ever stop doing this."
