'I could win that' - Tottenham fans react to Mauricio Pochettino's manager of the season snub

Mauricio Pochettino has missed out on the Premier League manager of the season award, as Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola won the accolade.

Guardiola saw off competition from Pochettino, Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp and Wolves manager Nuno Espirito Santo to take home the award for the second successive year.

The Man city manager saw his team defend their Premier league title on Sunday thanks to a 4-1 win over Brighton and Hove Albion. Although they were ran very close by Klopp's Liverpool, who finished in second place with a total of 97 points, just one behind their rivals.

Espirito Santo was nominated after guiding his Wolves side to a seventh place finish, and the possibility of Europa League football next season. The club are in their first season back in the Premier League after promotion in the 2017/18 season and will qualify for the European competition should Manchester City win the FA Cup final against Watford on Saturday.

Mauricio Pochettino was the only manager not to make any additions during any of the transfer windows this season. Despite this, he has still guided his team to a fourth place finish, meaning that Champions League football will be at the new Tottenham Hotspur Stadium next season. Away from the Premier League, Spurs still have one game of the season left to play, as they take on Liverpool in the Champions League final in early June.
