Alan Shearer summed up Newcastle fans thoughts after a blatant penalty was waved away by Martin Atkinson with the Magpies trailed 2-0 against Manchester City.
The Magpies legend questioned the referee's decision and the lack intervention from VAR as Newcastle were denied a stone wall penalty.
Shearer tweeted: "Any danger VAR or ref. Pen all day."

The Newcastle legend summed up the feelings of supporters on social media who were left outraged by the decision.
Former players were also left baffled by the decision with Yannick Bolasie branding the challenge like something out of American Football. He tweeted: "Okay so we’re playing NFL now."
