I can't contain my excitement for the re-release of Martha Stewart's iconic cookbook – I'm diving straight into her tableware collection to recreate her effortless entertaining style

Martha Stewart.

If you love to host, you'll likely be counting down to Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas, but I'll bet you've marked something else on your calendar too: the re-release of Martha Stewart's first ever cookbook.

Due to land on 4 November, Martha Stewart's iconic book, Entertaining, was first released in 1982 and has been credited as the book that made her a household name, representing the very first chapter of Martha's career, and it has since acquired legendary status. In fact, OG copies are now prized thrift store finds (and are also selling for hundreds of dollars online). To celebrate its re-release, Martha took to Talk Shop Live to share some new hosting tips and fall table decor ideas from her own collection.

The Talk Shop Live video sees Martha lift the lid on some of her most popular products, from the scalloped Highbrook Jadeite Cake Stand to the Crispa Handmade Glassware Set (which, she revealed, is inspired by the barware used on sailing ships in the 1800s).

It's making me fall in love with her effortless entertaining style all over again, and I've taken to delving into the Martha Stewart Amazon storefront to shop her look and try to recreate her wonderfully iconic style at home.

The viral Martha Stewart square ladles received plenty of airtime, especially since they're now available as part of a 9-piece stainless steel kitchen set. While every Martha Stewart cooking video is a real treat, this one offers a thrilling peek into the re-release of Entertaining, and some of the tools you need to cook and host like Martha herself, (well, almost).

While I don't own an original copy of Entertaining, I will absolutely be stocking up once it returns to stores, buying one for myself, my Mom and friends too as Christmas gifts. The book was a bestseller for good reason, and it's no wonder home cooks are still fighting over it decades later; Martha's recipes and hosting tips are truly timeless.

Plus, Martha's tableware picks have inspired me to revamp my tablescapes for the harvest season in a bid to recreate her signature style. And with so many pieces available on the Martha Stewart Amazon storefront, it couldn't be easier.

As our editor, Jennifer Ebert, notes, 'Martha Stewart doesn't just follow trends, she defines them'. Whether it's the instantly-recognisable Martha Stewart gray-green kitchen color or Martha Stewart's striking front porch decorating for Halloween, there's always something to be inspired by – and I can't wait to pick up even more tips when I finally get my hands on a copy of Entertaining.
