National Pet Day has been and gone, but if there’s any opportunity to talk about the love of my life, aka my dog, I’m all for it.
Since rescuing my dog (Nelly) last year, it’s safe to say my life has definitely changed for the better - although my bank account would beg to differ.
Yes, I’m that dog mum who loves to shower their pooch with everything from cute little jumpers to Aesop shampoo (don’t even ask), but one thing I struggled with finding was a great harness which was supportive, easy to put on and looked pleasing to the eye for her Instagram pics, of course.
As Nelly is only small, I found many harnesses which looked great were either too big, or took ages to put on which can be frustrating when rushing out the door to take your pooch on a walk.
As well as this, a lot I found had to be placed over Nelly’s head and then taken off the same way which was a tricky task in itself, not to mention uncomfortable for the dog too.
So, I decided to take matters into my own hands and search for the ‘perfect harness’, and believe me when I tell you, I’ve found just that - and it’s just £13.
The Suredoo Pet Reflective Soft Mesh Dog Harness is easily the best thing I’ve purchased since getting Nelly. It’s extremely easy to put on, comes in a cute black and white zig zag design and even comes with a matching long lead which clips onto the harness. It comes in a range of sizes too, so is great for all breeds - small or large.
To put the harness on, you simply lift your dog's front paws into the holes and fasten over their back with both a velcro and a clasp which keeps it nice and secure. There are two D bars on the top of the harness where the lead clips onto easily for extra safety.
Nelly is a Chorkie (Chihuahua and Yorkshire Terrier cross), so I ordered her an XS which fit perfectly. There is a measuring guide in the product description which is helpful, but I suggest measuring your dog yourself first to be sure.
I’m also incredibly impressed with the quality of the harness and lead, especially considering the low price I paid. I’ve had it for around 5 months now and it’s still in perfect condition with no pulls or tears - oh, and it's machine washable too.
It seems it’s not just me either that loves the harness, as it’s gained hundreds of five-star reviews from other happy customers on Amazon.

Since I have free next-day delivery with Prime, I didn’t pay anything for postage and the item came incredibly quickly and well packaged.
I honestly can’t fault this product, and it’s safe to say I’ll never be buying an overpriced harness again.
