Other members of the committee are Dr Shalabh from IIT Kanpur, Dr Rajkumar Upadhyay from the Centre for Development of Telematics, and Professor Pulak Ghosh from the Centre for Public Policy.
The constitution of the committee comes after the Mumbai police announced a "TRP manipulation scam" in Maharashtra last month. The police named Republic TV and two Marathi entertainment channels as being involved in the scam. The investigation is ongoing.
