Saas-bahu sagas and family dramas have always been associated with Indian television, but actress Sana Makbul is glad that she has always done shows which are different. Having been a part of shows like Vish, Arjun, Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon? in the past, Sana says, “The shows I have done so far are not typical saas-bahu dramas and that’s what I would want to do even in the future as well. I would like to do different kinds of roles, play characters that are romantic, young and energetic. I want to do quality work. After doing Khatron ke Khiladi Season 11 last year, I have seen a different adventurous side to me, now I don’t mind trying for a dance reality show because I love dancing, too.”
Doing Khatron Ke Khiladi has opened the doors in the industry for her, she feels. “People always thought I was this sensitive girl, but I showed a different side of myself by performing some stunts on the show, which I didn’t know I could. Also, I have always kept a low profile, which is why people didn’t know me much, even though I have been part of some good shows. But after I did this reality show, it has opened many doors for me. People know the real me now. My social media following has gone up, too,” she shares.
On the personal front, the actress shares that she is single. She says, “I am single and only focusing on my career right now. I don’t have the time for love as of now. If love happens, then I am open to it. But, I want things to happen naturally.”
Talking about her friendship with Vishal Aditya Singh that came into the limelight last year during Khatron Ke Khiladi, the actress says, “We always said we were good friends and we are still good friends, and nothing is going to change that. We have our own priorities.”
