'I am open' - Nottingham Forest and Sabri Lamouchi receive transfer boost in Ligue 1 pursuit

Nottingham Forest have been linked with a move for Nimes midfielder Theo Valls, who has admitted that he will consider a move away from his native France.

According to reports in the French press, Forest's Championship rivals Brentford and Bristol City are also interested in the 24-year-old. French sides Lens, Angers and Brest are all said to be keen on the midfielder.

Valls' Nimes contract expires at the end of the season - June - and as authorities have moved to cut the league short - he will be free to move without having to play past the date of expiry.

Now, Valls will consider a move away, and across the Channel.

"For me, it's going to be a big change. It will be a whole new life, even, and I have already prepared myself in my head," said Valls to La Provence  when asked about a move.

"An experience outside France? Why not? I am clearly open to that, too.

"It would be interesting. But whether in France or abroad, things will progress more, of course, when we are fixed on the situation linked to the health crisis which, for the moment, upsets all the data of the current season."
