Rohit Sharma may have retired from the T20Is, but he isn't thinking of quitting white-ball internationals anytime soon, while also wanting to add the elusive World Test Championship (WTC) trophy to India's cabinet under his leadership.
After India won the T20 World Cup earlier this year in June, Rohit, along with Virat Kohli, announced his retirement from T20 internationals. Soon after that, BCCI secretary Jay Shah, who was recently appointed as the ICC chairman, confirmed that Rohit will captain India at the Champions trophy in February-March next year.
In a video clip shared by Star Sports from the recently held CEAT Awards, Rohit said he is "not going to stop" because he is looking "forward to achieving more" after the T20 World Cup triumph.
"There is a reason I have won five IPL trophies as well. I am not going to stop because when you get the taste of winning games, winning cups, you don't want to stop," said the 37-year-old Rohit. "We'll keep pushing as a team. We'll keep striving in the future. We've got a couple of solid tours coming up as well, very challenging ones."
"So for us, it never stops. Once you achieve something, you look forward to achieving more, and that is what I would be doing as well. I am pretty sure my teammates will also be thinking on the same lines."

Rohit's next challenge will be India's Test swing over the next five months that will see them playing 10 Test matches against Bangladesh (2) and New Zealand (3) at home and then for the Border Gavaskar Trophy in Australia (5).
All these Tests will be part of the ongoing WTC cycle, which India currently lead with six wins, two defeats, and a draw from nine Tests.
"It's an exciting time for Indian cricket moving forward. Honestly, what I have seen in the last two years in Indian cricket, there's some real excitement, good cricket being played as well. But like I said, the next couple of years are exciting ones as well. So hopefully we can go out there and enjoy the game at the same time and then try and make the most of what opportunity lies ahead for us," the India captain concluded.
