A woman who struggled with mental health difficulties wrote a powerful statement about why her daughter should be adopted.
She has been praised by a family court judge after letting her daughter be placed for adoption.
The woman, who cannot be identified, made the decision in order to give the toddler the best chance in life.
Judge Sarah Lynch said she hoped the girl could one day read her mother’s words, adding that it was an “incredibly moving” statement.
