Nottingham Forest have sacked manager Martin O’Neill after just five months in charge, replacing him with former French international Sabri Lamouchi.
The news comes following a mixed season for Forest as they finished a respectable ninth place in the Championship, but ultimately failed to make the coveted play-off spots.

For some, O’Neill’s departure is a breath of fresh air - after he was criticised over his ‘old fashioned tactics’ and alienation of certain players in the dressing room.
However, for others, the decision has come almost out of nowhere - with virtually no time given for the 67-year-old to properly install his philosophy for next season.
