Hyperoptic discount codes for Jun 2026

Hyperoptic router.

FAQs

How much does Hyperoptic cost?

That depends on your plan. Hyperoptic offers plans from as little as £19 a month outside of promotions, with prices rising for higher speeds, and falling when you choose longer duration plans.

For example, the service's cheapest speeds - 150Mbps - are billed from £26 per month on monthly rolling plans, but you can also opt to pay for a 12-month plan (from £24 per month) or 24-month plan (from £19 a month).

Meanwhile, Hyperoptic's fastest option - 1Gb - starts from £32 a month on a monthly rolling plan, but choosing a 12-month plan lowers this to about £28 per month, whilst a 24-month plan can bring this down to £26 a month.

Is Hyperoptic available in my area?

Hyperoptic only operates in select towns and cities, with the provider estimating it can connect more than 1.9 million households across the UK. While that reach has been expanding significantly over the years, there's no guarantee your area is currently included. You can check whether the service has an option for you by entering your postcode into the website's coverage checker before signing up.

What is Hyperoptic Fair Fibre?

If you're currently receiving income support benefits including Universal Credit, Attendance Allowance, Care Leavers’ Support, Housing Benefit and Personal Independence Payments, you're likely eligible for Hyperoptic's Fair Fibre Plan.

The service provides discounted plans with no activation fees to eligible low income households, with the choice of 150Mb, 500Mb, and 1Gb broadband connections for £13, £17 or £20 a month respectively. Phone & broadband packages are also available for £16 - £23 a month.

Does I need a phone line to join Hyperoptic?

No. As Hyperoptic is a full-fibre/fibre optic service, it does not rely on traditional phone line technology to provide connections. So long as the network provides service to your area, you can sign up for your choice of broadband & phone, or broadband only plans. Hyperoptic phone services are supported through Voice over Internet Protocol (or VoIP), meaning all calls are routed through your router rather than cables.

Hyperoptic Saving tips

Watch for sales periods

Like many broadband providers, Hyperoptic runs seasonal sales throughout the year, mainly around major sales events such as Christmas, Cyber Monday and Black Friday. These sales can discount plans by as much as 20% of the usual price, or they can include bundles and freebies to sweeten the deal when signing up, so keep your eyes peeled at these times of year for a chance to save. Here at TechRadar, we keep a close eye on what the provider offers, updating this page accordingly to add the latest info, so check back before each new plan to ensure you're getting the best prices.

Commit to longer contracts

Many of Hyperoptic's plans are available on rolling monthly, 12-month or 24-month contracts. Although it will cost you more upfront, a longer plan means a lower per-month cost on average, making it well worth footing the bigger sign-up bill if you're able. Not only do per-month costs drop by as much as 25%, your activation fees also tend to be lower, too.

Refer a friend

Know someone who'd like Hyperoptic? You can refer them to the provider to earn you both a £75 voucher. Just head to the brand's site to obtain a referral link, and if your friend signs up using your link, you'll both be sent a reward voucher after they've been with the service for 30 days. You can refer up to 20 friends to the service too, netting you as much as £1500 in vouchers to help you save on your chosen plan.

Get a student discount

If you're a student, you can sign up for discounted Hyperoptic plans with broadband package speeds from 150Mb up to 1Gb depending on what you need. Prices start from as little as £21 per month, with a choice of monthly, yearly and 2-yearly plans, and longer plan lengths offering up to 20% off versus non-student prices. To redeem student deals, just provide some details to verify your status through the brand's site.

How we source voucher codes

At TechRadar, we have a number of tools at our disposal to help us find the latest voucher codes. Our Vouchers team uses connections with big name brands, our affiliate networks, and the world wide web to source the latest & best codes for our pages. Each page is updated multiple times a week with sales info, exclusive codes negotiated by our Commercial team, and a number of ways to save on your next online order.

How we test voucher codes

Every code listed on TechRadar is tested before it’s added to our pages by our Vouchers team. We include a range of offers including student discounts, sale prices, free shipping, & more across a number of categories of products & services. Each code is checked to ensure it is accepted at the checkout, and you won’t find any one-time use or user-specific codes.

The expiry date and any terms & conditions of each code are also displayed on the page, next to or below the ‘Get Code’ button, for added clarity. Click the text that reads ‘Terms & Conditions’ to expand the corresponding area, where you can read more about any requirements your order will need to meet in order for your chosen coupon to be accepted.

What to do if a voucher code doesn’t work

We take the utmost care to verify every code before it’s uploaded, and include as much relevant information as we can find to make using our codes as straightforward as possible. However, sometimes codes expire or are amended before we’re able to refresh our pages, and codes may not work as intended.

Should you experience any issues, it’s always best to start by checking the terms & conditions on the page. Click “View terms and conditions” and the code area will expand. You’ll see all applicable criteria listed in this area. For example, you may not meet a required minimum spend (i.e. spend £20 or more); you may not have enough times in your basket (e.g. you have only selected 2 products when trying to redeem a 3 for 2 multibuy offer), or your chosen offer may only apply to a certain type of product (i.e. 10% off laptops).

If issues persist once you’ve checked that you’ve met any necessary requirements, you can get in touch with our support team by emailing coupons.techradar@futurenet.com. Please provide as much detail about your issue as possible - including which code you used and where you found it - and we’ll be in touch to provide support as soon as we can.

How we make money

All the money TechRadar makes through its voucher pages is earned through a commission-based model. We have deals in place with every retailer that has a voucher page on our site, and every time someone makes a purchase using one of our codes, we earn a percentage of the total basket value back in commission.

Thanks to this model, we can offer all of our codes & discounts completely free of charge. You’ll never be asked to pay a fee to redeem an offer on our site - all you’ll pay is the discounted price of the products or services you’ve chosen to buy.

If you want to find out more about TechRadar’s voucher pages, you can visit our dedicated page on How We Source Voucher Codes and How to Use Them for more information.
