Hyndland Road police incident: Two men hospitalised with serious injuries

Two men have been hospitalised with serious injuries following a police incident in Hyndland this evening.

Police rushed to the scene following a report of a disturbance at Devonshire Gardens adjacent to the Hotel Du Vin around 5:50pm. 

Hyndland Road was subsequently closed off to traffic and a police cordon put in place as emergency services dealt with the incident.

One eyewitness suggested officers were examining a Mercedes car at the scene.

Police have since confirmed that two men were taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital with serious injuries and that enquires are ongoing.

A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: "We received a report of a disturbance on Devonshire Gardens, Glasgow, around 5.50pm on Tuesday, 21 July, 2020.

"Two men have been taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital with serious injuries.

"Enquiries are ongoing."
