There’s not many things better than indulging in a sneaky over the weekend, but making sure your favourite restaurant is clean is definitely a bonus.
KFC has more than 800 restaurants across the UK, serving up tasty southern fried chicken in many forms.
We’ve taken a look at all the KFC restaurants in Liverpool to see how the Food Standards Agency (FSA) rates them.
Food Standards Agency inspections are carried out by the local authority and findings are updated on the FSA website every time a new inspection by the council is conducted.
How is the scoring done?
The scores are done by local authority hygiene teams. A health officer will look at three criteria types during an inspection:
How hygienically the food is prepared, cooked, re-heated, cooled and stored.
The cleanliness, layout, lighting and ventilation of the building.
How the business manages what it does to make sure food is safe.

5 – Hygiene standards are very good
4 – Hygiene standards are good
3 – Hygiene standards are generally satisfactory
2 – Some improvement is necessary
1 – Major improvement is necessary
0 – Urgent improvement is required
