HYDERABAD: Hyderabad task force north zone inspector K Nageshwar Rao was appointed as the inspector of Banjara Hills police station on Sunday.
K Nageshwar Rao took charge as the new station house officer of Banjara Hills police station .
His appointment took place after Hyderabad city police commissioner CV Anand suspended the incumbent station house officer (SHO) P Shiva Chandra, for alleged dereliction of duties.
"Orders were issued to suspend Banjara Hills inspector Shiva Chandra. A charge memo was issued to M Sudarshan, assistant commissioner of police, Banjara Hills, for negligence towards duty in controlling narcotics in pubs and bars in police station limits," a statement by Hyderabad police said. Hours after Nageshwar Rao and other sleuths conducted raid on pub, he was hand picked as a replacement to Shiva Chandra .
