A member of the Hutch family is fighting for his life after an incident at a house.
It is understood the man was unresponsive when emergency services arrived at the home in the Drumalee area of north inner city Dublin and CPR was attempted.
He was rushed to the Mater Hospital with what are described as serious injuries at 4.15pm on Tuesday.
Gardai are investigating the incident.
A Garda spokeswoman said: "Gardai and emergency services attended an incident at a house in the Drumalee area off North Circular Rd, Dublin 7, today the 16 July 2019 at approximately 4.15pm.
"A man was taken to the Mater Hospital with serious injuries.
"Investigations are ongoing."
