Husqvarna Updates Its 701 Enduro and Supermoto Motorcycles for Better Rider Control

If you talk to riders who've been around for a minute, you'll find a variety of opinions about ABS. While the technology has certainly come a long way since its first-generation implementations, one thing many riders can agree on is the idea that in general, options that allow for switchable ABS (and while we're at it, traction control, too) are good.

That way, riders who want it can use it, and riders who don't can switch it off. Even better is when you can switch it off (and/or dial it back) only at the rear, particularly if you're going to be doing any off-road riding. That way, at least theoretically, everyone's happy, right? You can ride how you feel is best for your preferences, terrain, and skill level.

For 2026, Husqvarna is taking this idea one step further on the updated 701 Enduro. If you're in the optional Rally Mode on this machine, you'll be able to utilize a brand-new feature called Dynamic Slip Adjust. The way this works, says Husky, is by "lowering the level of motorcycle traction control (MTC) when additional spin is needed," thus increasing the amount of rear wheel slip.

This is intended to offer a little more grace to you, as a rider, if you've got your settings on a higher MTC setting, but then you hit something extra slippy or steep. With DSA in Rally Mode, your 701 Enduro should temporarily allow that rear wheel to spin more due to those conditions while still not cutting the engine power you'll need to safely get through that tricky situation.

Opt for the new 701 Supermoto instead, and you'll get the benefit of Supermoto+ ABS. If you want to back it in going through corners, this mode keeps the ABS turned on for the front wheel to keep things stable, but allows you to purposely slide that rear wheel through the corner at "a limited angle," says Husky.

Those aren't the only new things on the 2026 701 Enduro and Supermoto lineup, though. The LC4 engine has had a bit of a refresh, which you probably suspected was coming due to stricter European emissions standards. At the same time, there are also new suspension settings, new bodywork, a new 4.2-inch TFT dash, new Ride Mode functionality with memory functions, new LED headlight on both models, and more.

If you're interested in getting your hands on either of these, the updated 701 Supermoto should become available through your local Husqvarna Motorcycles dealer starting this November, while the 701 Enduro should roll into dealers in April of next year.
