The 2025 iteration of the Festival of the Lost event in Destiny 2 introduced two new weapons to grind for in the new Haunted Altars activity. One of them is the Hushed Whisper bow.
Hushed Whisper is a Strand Precision Frame bow. It comes with all the Strand perks you could want and has a couple of options for both PvE and PvP. If you’re a bow enjoyer, there are a couple of rolls you might want to chase on it.
Here are our Hushed Whisper god rolls for PvE and PvP in Destiny 2.

What is the Hushed Whisper god roll in Destiny 2?

Hushed Whisper PvE god roll
- Bowstring: Polymer String
- Arrow: Compact Arrow Shaft
- Perk one: Tear or Slice
- Perk two: Hatchling or Explosive Head
- Masterwork: Draw Time
Hushed Whisper PvP god roll
- Bowstring: Polymer String
- Arrow: Straight Fletching
- Perk one: Lone Wolf
- Perk two: Archer’s Gambit or Explosive Head
- Masterwork: Accuracy
For PvE, Hushed Whisper comes with all the Strand perks, including Slice and Tear in the third column, and Hatchling in the fourth. Slice grants an eight-second buff after using the class ability, which allows you to sever targets, making them deal 40 percent less damage. Tear also severs targets, but it triggers with precision final blows and affects nearby enemies.
The main issue with Hushed Whisper in PvE is that it’s a Precision Frame, which means slow draw time. Depending on the activity and its difficulty, you may not be able to sever targets all that much. In that case, something like the Successful Warm-up could go a long way to increase the draw time by 37.5 percent for six seconds when getting a kill.
Hatchling in the fourth column creates Threadlings on precision or rapid kills. Threadlings are great for clearing adds and dealing additional damage, especially if you lean into them with your subclass. If you’re not using Threadlings, you can also go for Explosive Head for a flat 15 percent damage increase.
In PvP, Hushed Whisper isn’t for everyone. There’s Lone Wolf in the third column for five base aim assist, increasing to 10 when no allies are around, but that’s by far the only decent perk in the column. Snapshot Sights could be useful, but you have to play less aggressively anyway due to low draw time.
In the fourth column, there are two perks you can use depending on your playstyle. For general use, Explosive Head is a decent option to inflict more flinch, even though the base damage remains roughly the same. If you’re a fan of hip-firing with Radiant Dance Machines or similar Exotics for other classes, there’s also Archer’s Gambit.
You need one precision hit and one body shot at base to kill an enemy in PvP. Precision Instrument can’t improve that in any way, as it increases precision damage.
How to get Hushed Whisper in Destiny 2

You can get Hushed Whisper during the Festival of the Lost event in Destiny 2. In 2025, there are two event activities to play, Haunted Altars and Red Rum(ble). Both activities drop event weapons, including Gunburn, as a completion reward.
Outside of event activities, you can play any Portal activity with the Festival of the Lost Bonus Drop icon. These also award an event drop if you achieve Grade B or higher, similarly to how Bonus Drops (green engrams) work. As you play and gather Candy, you can spend it at Eva in the Tower for more rolls.
All event loot drops at a higher Tier (doesn’t apply to purchases at Eva in the Tower), so it should be fairly easy to get a god roll. For true grinders, there are also holofoil variants of the weapons that come with an exclusive ornament.
