Husband of HR exec in Coldplay KissCam scandal was also at the concert – with his own date

The husband of the HR executive who went viral after being caught on Coldplay’s KissCam with her married boss was at the same concert – with another woman.

Andrew Cabot, CEO of Privateer Rum, had been married to Kristin Cabot, 52, an HR executive at data firm Astronomer. The pair had been wed for two years when footage of Kristin ducking out of view during the infamous KissCam moment was beamed across the stadium and later circulated online.

At the time, reports suggested Andrew had been blindsided by the scandal. He later confirmed that he and Kristin were already separated before the concert took place. But new details reveal that Andrew had in fact attended the same Coldplay show with a date, who has since become his girlfriend.

“Kristin was in the box with people from work, though it wasn’t a company box, and Andrew was actually there too with a woman who is now his girlfriend,” a source told The Times. “They had been separated and living apart for several weeks. It was amicable.”

The source added that Kristin has remained largely silent because “people in the middle of a divorce can’t say anything public.”

The incident sparked widespread attention when Coldplay frontman Chris Martin spotted the pair on the big screen and quipped: “Either they’re having an affair or they’re very shy.” Kristin could be seen ducking out of view as Astronomer CEO Andy Byron muttered: “F****** hell, it’s me.”

The viral clip quickly snowballed, ultimately costing both Cabot and Byron their jobs. Astronomer placed the pair on leave before accepting their resignations.

Insiders insist Kristin was not having an affair with her boss. “She fully acknowledges [the hug] was inappropriate, but that was the only inappropriate thing she did,” the source claimed. “According to her, she and Andy share nothing more than a great friendship.”

Andrew, meanwhile, told People magazine he was “blindsided” when reporters turned up at his £1.8 million waterfront home in Rye, New Hampshire. He clarified that he and Kristin had “privately and amicably separated several weeks before the Coldplay concert” and were already moving towards divorce.

Byron’s wife, Megan Kerrigan, swiftly moved out of their marital home, returned her wedding ring, and deleted her Facebook account after removing her married name.

Astronomer, which said it had been “a pioneer in the DataOps space” before the scandal erupted, admitted the saga had changed public perception overnight.
