A young mother's husband and brother-in-law will remain behind bars after being accused of her murder.

The two men were charged after emergency services rushed to a Springfield Lakes home, west of Brisbane, on Friday night responding to reports that a woman had collapsed.

They found a 23-year-old woman unconscious and not breathing. She died at the scene.

Two men, aged 28 and 26, were taken into custody to assist police with the investigation on Friday night before they were charged with murder the following day.

The family were originally from Afghanistan and had recently moved into the Springfield Lakes home, police said.

Lawyers for the two men appeared in Ipswich Magistrates Court on Monday.

The pair charged with murder remained in the police watchhouse while their matter was heard.

Police prosecutor Jo Colston asked for the case to be adjourned until a later date, with both men's defence lawyers agreeing.

The matter was adjourned to June 25 with the two men remanded in custody.

Given the nature of the charges, magistrate Grace Kahlert requested a full brief of evidence to be prepared by the next mention.

Police had earlier called the incident a "tragic" event and a chaotic scene for first responders.

"I would like to say this is a terribly tragic event, especially given young children being in the home, and our thoughts go out to the victims, family and friends who are naturally impacted by what's transpired," Detective Inspector Michael Manago told reporters on Saturday.
