
Residents of St. Lucie County in Florida are still reeling from the impact of Hurricane Milton, which brought a wave of destruction to the area. The storm, which made landfall on Wednesday, was preceded by a series of tornadoes that wreaked havoc on the county.
One resident, Susan Carlos, who has lived in Florida since 1989, described the tornadoes as the most frightening experience of her life. She recounted the unprecedented damage caused by the tornadoes, stating that she had never seen anything like it in her years in the state.
According to the National Weather Service, at least nine tornadoes touched down in St. Lucie County, causing widespread destruction. Sunnier Palms Park and Campground was among the hardest hit areas, with significant structural damage reported throughout the county.



The aftermath of the storm revealed a scene of chaos and devastation. Dangerous winds toppled power lines, uprooted trees, and overturned cars. Homes were reduced to piles of rubble, leaving many residents without shelter.
Keith Harry, another resident of Sunnier Palms, described the harrowing experience of witnessing transformers blowing up during the storm. He recounted how his motor home was nearly lifted off the ground by the powerful winds, leaving him in disbelief at the extent of the damage.
The swift and destructive nature of the storm left residents shocked and traumatized. Many are now faced with the daunting task of rebuilding their lives in the wake of Hurricane Milton's wrath.
