Huntingdon construction firm announces its newly-appointed chief financial officer

Construction firm Mick George Group has appointed Alan Hardy as its new chief financial officer.

Based in Huntingdon, the group was listed at 178 in the Sunday Times Top Track 250, which ranks Britain’s private mid-market companies with the biggest sales.

Historically Jon Stump has played a key role in everything financial at the company, but with the demands of being joint CEO ever growing the firm decided to strengthen.

Arriving with more than 20 years’ board level experience, Mr Hardy is tasked with developing and delivering a long-term financial plan for the group, while concurrently improving financial processes and systems.

As a member of the group’s board, Mr Hardy’s specific focus areas include financial planning and analysis, improving profitability and cash flow, streamlining processes and systems, leadership and development of the finance function and financial support and advice to the board.

His previous experience with BOC, Capita, UK Government and Transport Systems Catapult has covered major capital investment and business change programmes, including multiple ERP system implementations and transformation programmes.
