Huntfield Heights woman arrested for playing excessively loud music early in the morning

SA Police arrested a woman early this morning over loud music after numerous reports from neighbours. (ABC News)

A woman in Adelaide's south has been arrested for playing "excessively loud music" in the early hours of this morning.

Police were called to a house in Huntfield Heights about 4:45am after numerous reports from "fed up" neighbours about loud music coming from the address.

Senior Constable Kate Dawson told ABC Radio Adelaide this morning that the "music was still pumping" when police arrived at the Troutbeck Crescent house and they knocked on the door to speak to the occupant.

"So, when the 36-year-old woman finally came to the door, police placed her under arrest and turned her music off," she said.

The woman was charged with a breach of the Environmental Protection Act and her stereo and music equipment were seized.

"It's a good warning to the community to consider other people living around you coming into the silly season," Senior Constable Dawson said.

She has been refused bail and will appear in the Christies Beach Magistrates Court today.
