Hunters renewed for a second season by Amazon

The Al Pacino-fronted Hunters has been renewed for a second season by Amazon.

After premiering earlier this year on the streaming platform, it's officially returning for a second outing with creator David Weil saying he's 'beyond grateful' to the Amazon team for their support.

He adds: "Alongside our magnificent cast, incredible crew, and brilliant writers and producers, I am more eager than ever to share the next chapter of the Hunters saga with the world".

The series, produced by Get Out and Us director Jordan Peele, is inspired by true events and follows a diverse group of Nazi hunters in New York City in the 1970s.

They discover that hundreds of escaped Nazis are living in America and set out on a quest for revenge and justice, but they soon discover a far-reaching conspiracy and must race against time to thwart the Nazis’ new genocidal plans.

It premiered back in February on Amazon Prime and received polarizing reviews from critics, with some questioning its historical inaccuracies, while others praised the action sequences and series' message.

You can catch up on the first season on Amazon Prime by signing up to a free 30-day trial. You can then cancel your subscription for free or continue it and pay £7.99 per month.
