A court has heard that there are reportedly new allegations from outside NSW against a man who has pleaded guilty to a string of historical sexual and serious violence offences against three women in Lake Macquarie and on the Central Coast between 1979 and 1997.
But those accusations, for which the man has not been charged, will not be used in questioning or cross examination during his sentencing hearing next month.
Crown Prosecutor Hamish Fitzharding told Newcastle District Court on Friday that police had received new allegations against Warren John McCorriston from outside NSW.
Mr Fitzharding said the Crown wanted to refer to them in the sentencing hearing to demonstrate McCorriston's character and level of rehabilitation.
But defence barrister Paul Rosser, QC, said it would be a "great unfairness" if the allegations were part of the hearing, calling them "unsubstantiated".
McCorriston has not been charged over the new accusations and details of those allegations cannot be published for legal reasons.
The former Queensland resort manager, now aged 60 years old - was extradited to NSW in January, 2020, after Strike Force Arapaima detectives charged him with a string of historical offences.
