Hunter Henry says Bill Belichick and Josh McDaniels are even more phenomenal than he thought

As the new members of the New England Patriots get settled into their surroundings, many of them are getting their first chance to work with Bill Belichick and Josh McDaniels. The duo has left a good impression on several of the players, including one tight end in particular.

Speaking to the media earlier this week, Hunter Henry indicated that he was very impressed with what Belichick and McDaniels bring to the table. With the Patriots’ several practices into organized team activities, Henry figures to be an important weapon for Josh McDaniels, as the Patriots are still currently in the process of shaping their offense.

It’s no secret that Belichick has liked what Henry has brought to the table in his career. It appears that the feeling is mutual.

“On the outside looking in, obviously they’re great coaches,” Henry said. “And then when you get hands-on with them, they’re phenomenal as well, even more than you think. They’re two of the best minds football can offer, so just trying to pick as much as I can from them and continue to learn.”

Henry caught 60 passes for 613 yards and four touchdowns last year. Along with Jonnu Smith, he is poised to offer the Patriots a formidable weapon at tight end. It will be intriguing to see how McDaniels uses Henry in this offense, with several new offensive weapons in the fold.
