A woman in a Santa outfit who went missing on Christmas Day - after claims that a group of men in a car stopped her as she was walking home - has been found.

Devon and Cornwall Police had issued a photo and description of Katarzyan Pawelak - known to her friends as Kasia.

The 35-year-old, had been described as "high risk" as she been missing since 3.30pm on Christmas Day.

Police in Plymouth had joined her friends and family in appealing to the public to help locate her.

Kasia was last seen in Stonehouse, Plymouth, wearing a black trench coat with a dress and a Santa outfit over it, and a red jacket, with black tights and black Chelsea boots with zips.

In a post on Facebook on Christmas Day, her friend, Kinga Gniadek, said Kasia is 'very vulnerable' and that her friends and relatives are 'growing increasingly concerned for her'.

In an update to her post, Kinga added "Kasia was stopped on Mutley Plain by some men in a car at around 3.30pm while walking home."

This has not been confirmed by police but officers are asking anyone who sees her to call 999.

Mutley Plain, a built-up area of Plymouth, is about one and a half miles from Stonehouse, another suburb of the city.

Kasia, who has a tattoo on the back of her neck of an angel and devil, has recent links to the Stonehouse, Eggbuckland or Mutley area of Plymouth.

Kinga said in her social media post, which has been widely shared, that people are 'really worried for Kasia's well-being'.

A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police said: "Missing person Katarzyan Pawelak has been located safe and well. Police would like to thank the public for their assistance. "
