Hunt for two men who fled on foot after high speed crash into wall

Two men are being hunted by police after crashing into a wall at high speed and then fleeing.

At around 11.15pm last night officers were made aware of a VW Golf which failed to stop in Trinity Road, in Bootle .

The car, with two men inside, then drove off at speed before it collided with a wall at Millers Bridge a short time later.

Two men are then believed to have run off on foot. No injuries were reported.

Merseyside Police said officers were not in pursuit of the car at the time it crashed and are now appealing for information.

A spokesman added: "One of the men is described as white, 18 years old, wearing a bubble jacket and light grey bottoms.

"Anyone who witnessed the car driving at speed, the men running off, or was passing and has dashcam is asked to contact @MerPolCC, call 101 with reference 19100317437 or @CrimestoppersUK anonymously on 0800 555 111."
