Hunt for quad bike driver who made off from Wishaw crash that left pal with serious head injury

A man is in hospital with serious head injuries after being involved in a quad bike crash.

The 36-year-old was the passenger of the quad bike being driven on the roundabout at Kenilworth Avenue in Wishaw around 6.45am on Thursday, May 6.

He was rushed to hospital where he's being treated for a serious head injury. The rider of the bike initially stopped but then made off, and enquiries are ongoing to trace him.

Police are appealing for anyone who may have seen the quad bike before or after the incident to come forward.

Sergeant Scott Sutherland, of the road policing unit, said: “We are keen to speak to anyone who may have seen the quad bike either before or after the incident.

“In particular, if you have dash-cam footage that may help with our investigation then please get in touch.

“If you can help please contact us on 101, quoting incident 0428 of Thursday, 6 May, 2021.”
